WHY PACHTMAN LAW OFFICE SHOULD BE YOUR BANKRUPTCY ATTORNEYS.

Sometimes, you just can’t make ends meet.
Let us help.

Since 1984, Pachtman Law Office has been helping people with debt problems keep their homes, reduce or eliminate their debts, and ease their minds. The truth is, the vast majority of Americans who file for bankruptcy work hard to pay their bills on time, sometimes with 2 or 3 jobs, until a catastrophic event, like a divorce, a serious medical problem or the loss of a job changes everything.  A Harvard study shows that medical bills alone cause over 50% of bankruptcies nationwide.

Sometimes bankruptcy is the answer, sometimes it’s not. But many people think that under the new law you can no longer file for bankruptcy.  Not true!

YOU CAN STILL FILE FOR BANKRUPTCY

Despite what you may have heard, bankruptcy is still the law of the land, and you can  protect your assets by filing!

In 2005, Congress changed the Federal bankruptcy law under pressure from banks and credit card companies. The new bankruptcy law makes filing a lot more complicated, and most attorneys aren’t familiar with the changes.  For example, you now must have certification of credit counseling from an approved agency before you can file.

Pachtman Law Office is a debt relief agency as defined by act of Congress. If appropriate, we will help you file for bankruptcy under the Bankruptcy Code. We will guide you through this difficult time every step of the way… and get the creditors off your back. We can help you file for a Chapter 13 to set up a repayment plan or a Chapter 7 to eliminate your debts in total according to your circumstances.

Even if the sheriff sale is tomorrow, we can help!

CHAPTER 13

Chapter 13 assists honest, hardworking people who have debt problems.  It gives them an opportunity to pay off creditors by spreading their current debts over a period of 3-5 years. Chapter 13 can help you:

  1. Save your home from foreclosure
  2. Keep your car from being repossessed
  3. Reduce your monthly payments
  4. Stop creditors from harassing or even contacting you

Any past debt can be included in your plan including medical bills, credit card debt and personal loans, past due taxes, and utility bills. Past due mortgage and car loan payments can be included in the plan as well.

CHAPTER 7

In some instances, Chapter 7 may be more beneficial to resolve financial difficulties and is still available for many debtors.
